MLB Ejection 018: Toby Basner (3; Paul Clemens)

HP Umpire Toby Basner ejected Astros pitcher Paul Clemens for throwing at Athletics batter Jed Lowrie in the top of the 7th inning of the Athletics-Astros game. With one out and none on, A's batter Lowrie took a 0-0 fastball from Clemens for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and groin-high, the call was irrecusable (History: earlier this season—when the teams last met in Oakland—Clemens buzzed Lowrie with two inside pitches). At the time of the ejection, the A's were leading, 8-1. The A's ultimately won the contest, 10-1.

This is Toby Basner (99)'s third ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
Toby Basner now has 13 points in the UEFL Standings (10 Previous + 3 AAA = 13).
Crew Chief Jerry Meals now has 2 points in the UEFL's Crew Division (1 Prev + 1 Irrecusable = 2).

This is the 18th ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is the 8th player ejection of 2014. Prior to ejection, Clemens' line was 2.2 IP, 3 ER.
This is the Astros' 1st ejection of 2014, 2nd in the AL West (TEX 2; HOU 1; LAA, OAK, SEA 0).
This is Paul Clemens' first career MLB ejection.
This is Toby Basner's first ejection since April 13, 2013 (David Wright, Daniel Murphy; QOC = Y).
