MLB Instant Replay Review 299: Paul Schrieber (07)

Instant Replay Review confirmed 1B Umpire Paul Schrieber's out call in the top of the 6th inning of the Dodgers-Diamondbacks game. With two out and one on, Dodgers batter Yasiel Puig hit a 0-0 fastball from Diamondbacks pitcher Evan Marshall on the ground to shortstop Chris Owings, who threw to first baseman Paul Goldschmidt as Puig arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly, Schrieber's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Diamondbacks were leading, 9-7. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 18-7.
