MLB Replay Reviews 285-286: Conroy, Baker (07, 03)

Instant Replay Review confirmed 1B Umpire Chris Conroy's safe (base touch) call in the bottom of the 5th and 2B Umpire Jordan Baker's out call in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Indians-Blue Jays game. In the 5th, with two out and none on, Blue Jays batter Brett Lawrie hit a 3-2 slider from Indians pitcher Scott Atchison on a ground ball to center fielder Michael Bourn. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Indians Manager Terry Francona, Conroy's ruling (Lawrie touched first base) was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Blue Jays were leading, 4-1.

In the 8th, with one out and one on, Blue Jays baserunner R1 Jose Reyes attempted to steal second base off Indians catcher Yan Gomes, who threw to shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera as Reyes slid into second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons, Baker's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Blue Jays were leading, 4-2. The Blue Jays ultimately won the contest, 4-2.
