MLB Instant Replay Review 428: Brian Gorman (02)

Instant Replay Review upheld 3B Umpire Brian Gorman's safe call in the top of the 7th inning of the Mariners-Yankees game. With none out and two on, Mariners batter Endy Chavez bunted a 0-0 fastball from Yankees pitcher David Phelps to Phelps, who threw to third baseman Yangervis Solarte as Mariners baserunner R2 Mike Zunino slid into third base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, Gorman's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 2-2. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 10-2.
