MLB Instant Replay Review 542: Tom Hallion (05)

Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Tom Hallion's safe call in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Royals-Tigers game. With none out and one on, Tigers batter Victor Martinez hit a 2-1 fastball from Royals pitcher Danny Duffy on a fly ball to right fielder Nori Aoki, who caught the fly and threw to shortstop Alcides Escobar as Tigers baserunner R2 Miguel Cabrera returned to second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of challenge by the Royals Manager Ned Yost, Hallion's ruling was reversed, the call incorrect. At the time of the review, the game was tied, 1-1. The Tigers ultimately won the contest, 2-1.

This is Tom Hallion (20)'s fifth Replay Review of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
