MLB Instant Replay Review 573: Laz Diaz (06)

Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Laz Diaz's safe call in the bottom of the 7th inning of the Mariners-Royals game. With one out and one on, Royals batter Pedro Ciriaco bunted a 0-0 changeup from Mariners pitcher Roenis Elias on the ground to Elias, who threw to first baseman Logan Morrison as Ciriaco arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Mariners Manager Lloyd McClendon, Diaz's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Mariners were leading, 2-1. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 2-1.

This is Laz Diaz (63)'s sixth Replay Review of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is Crew Chief Jeff Nelson's 27th supervised Replay Review of the 2014 Season.

This is the 573rd Instant Replay Review of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is Mariners Manager Lloyd McClendon's 23rd Replay Review of 2014.
Umpires are now 300/573 (.523 Affirmation Rate) in Replay Reviews during the 2014 MLB season.
