MLB Ejection 131: Mark Ripperger (4; Joe Maddon)

HP Umpire Mark Ripperger ejected Rays Manager Joe Maddon for arguing a strike three call in the top of the 3rd inning of the Rays-Cardinals game. With one out and none on, Rays batter Ben Zobrist took a 3-2 fastball from Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh high (px -.971, pz 2.148), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 1-1. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 7-2.
