MLB Instant Replay Review 650: Alan Porter (07)

Instant Replay Review overturned 3B Umpire Alan Porter's out (catch/in play [stadium boundary]) call in the bottom of the 9th inning of the Yankees-Twins game. With none out and none on, Twins batter Sam Fuld hit a 1-2 knuckle curve from Yankees pitcher David Robertson on a fly ball near the third base (visitor's) dugout, where third baseman Zelous Wheeler attempted to field the fly. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire, Porter's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Yankees were leading, 6-5. The Yankees ultimately won the contest, 6-5.

This is Alan Porter (64)'s seventh Replay Review of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is Crew Chief Joe West's 29th supervised Replay Review of the 2014 Season.

This is the 650th Instant Replay Review of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is the Minnesota Twins' 21st Replay Review of 2014.
Umpires are now 336/650 (.517 Affirmation Rate) in Replay Reviews during the 2014 MLB season.
