The only other umpire i've seen accomplish this feat is Ed Hickox. I've tried it, it is way difficult to do. The umpires get 9 missed calls before they are behind in this game. Seems like some players need reaming before even questioning an umpire. Bruce Bochy! Too cool. It's also worth noting that Mike DiMuro has never ejected anyone for a safe/out argument while the home plate umpire.<br /><br />Also, using the second tab, click on Safe/Out and you'll see that in the last four years:<br /><br />1. 60% of the time the HP umpire is correct<br /><br />2. Here's the thing that is interesting if you can read lips... Bochy says, "you're not being straight with me" and they are both pointing to the tunnel... some player by watching the monitored probably reacted on the replay like Mark Grace did... And by looking at the 1st replay it looked like a bad call but as we talk about a lot on here beware of the 2nd camera.... and DiMuro makes a great call that isn't easy to make.. In all seriousness, the first angle he saw made it look like a blown call. At the least the announcers did eventually credit DiMuro with being right. I love the reaction DiMuro had to whatever Bochy said at around the 1:10 mark. <br />Also, though the Giants announcer wasn't too quick to rip the umps, he was too quick to blast the official scorer. After all, if Posey was off the plate then it doesn't matter where the throw was.
