Pre-Season Ejection 4: Seth Buckminster (1)

HP Umpire Seth Buckminster ejected Mariners Manager Eric Wedge for arguing a ball call in the top of the 6th inning of the Dodgers-Mariners game. With two outs and two on, Dodgers batter Joc Pederson took a 2-0 curveball from Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez for a called third ball. Replays are inconclusive as to the quality of the pitch, the call is irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Mariners were leading, 4-3. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 10-7.

This is Seth Buckminster ()'s first ejection of Spring Training and first MLB ejection.
This is the 4th MLB ejection of 2013.
This is the 2nd Manager ejection of Spring Training 2013 and Wedge's first career Spring Training ejection.

How could you miss that pitch? Uh, I know I've done it myself. Let the pitcher express as long as its not excessive.

Based on the way the catcher reached up and in to get it I'm thinking it was probably high. Not exactly the best angle to judge pitch location though.

That could have been the 5th time KF threw his hands up that day... Were you at the game?

When the pitcher starts acting like a dope, I warn him to knock it off ,you're a travesty to the game. When he does it again with, where was that and throwing his hands in the air. I don't even give him the heave. I look at the dugout and say" Hey Skip get another # 1 this guy is history". The reaction as the pitcher drops his hands, opens his mouth in bewilderment, can't figure out why skip is walking toward the mound and that he's about to take a shower paralyzes him.. Never got an argument either..
