What kind of ma...Just let me add one more thing...

What kind of manager is Quade? He's been pretty much a joke most of the season, but he's the one who left Zambrano out there, twsiting in the wind, while he gave up 5 HR's and 8 ER in five innings...he just didn't have anything in the tank, and was pitching BP to the Braves.

Yeah, Zambrano's a punk, but Quade should have hooked him before it ever got this far. Quade is NOT a big league manager.Billnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-75641291610102692302011-08-13T07:24:49.480-07:002011-08-13T07:24:49.480-07:00Does Tim Timmons get any points for throwing Bobby...Does Tim Timmons get any points for throwing Bobby Cox out of the game after Cox threw out the first pitch?
http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=17939687KTurner14noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-17080065306584128782011-08-13T06:54:49.063-07:002011-08-13T06:54:49.063-07:00Unofficial Ejections: Tim Timmons (1)

There was no doubt about Z's intentions. This was an absolutely stellar example of game management. Dump the pitcher and then make sure the bench knows you've dealt with it and they do not need to come any further. This crew handled both the Red Sox-Yankees series and Indians-Tigers series (east and central division battles) without any controversy, which in my mind is a pretty good feat. Cooper is a great umpire, as is Carlson, and Jeff Kellogg, in my opinion, was the guy of the 4 CC's appointed after the retiring a couple of years back that most deserved it. He had filled in for Rick Reed admirably in the past year. Then, he brought the crew together on the mound after the incident, and made sure everybody was on the same page. A job well done by this crew, which has gone quietly unnoticed for most of the season, because they're good.clement30noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-84341173655882774592011-08-13T05:37:18.087-07:002011-08-13T05:37:18.087-07:00Can we give Timmons credit for his other ejection ...Can we give Timmons credit for his other ejection in the game?

http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=17939687&partnerId=aw-7229626969800950690-996Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-29613681116914044522011-08-13T01:48:47.412-07:002011-08-13T01:48:47.412-07:00For Zambrano, come far inside once, whatever. That's actually one thing I think the MLB video people could have done a better job of: show Zambrano's first pitch that almost hits Jones, and you'll see where Timmons is coming from if you have any question about the ejection.

Good job by Timmons in recognizing the situation - and fast, preventing a bench clearing incident, Jeff Kellogg for corralling the Braves and putting them back towards their bench, Carlson & Cooper for keeping the Cubs off the field. Good job by a good crew with a good crew chief.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-38223639489981360902011-08-13T00:11:53.146-07:002011-08-13T00:11:53.146-07:00Zambrano is piece of garbage. What a loser.

He'd be doing Major League Baseball, and the Cubs a favor if he was serious about retiring. But he's got about $18 million reasons why he won't, and why the Cubs won't just release him, even though they should.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04227950154076067364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-4658522572700945372011-08-13T00:07:03.584-07:002011-08-13T00:07:03.584-07:00Can we start a discussion on the "quick pitch...Can we start a discussion on the "quick pitch" seen here? http://mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=17958639Garretthttp://www.mygameballs.com/baseballdata?db=garrett37noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4917712291092871273.post-839801338078512292011-08-12T23:05:25.439-07:002011-08-12T23:05:25.439-07:00Get Zambrano out of baseball.
