MLB Instant Replay Review 033: James Hoye (01)

Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire James Hoye's out call in the bottom of the 9th inning of the Reds-Mets game. With none out and one on, Mets batter Anthony Recker bunted a 1-1 fastball from Reds pitcher J. Hoover to first baseman Joey Votto, who threw to shortstop Ruben Tejada as Mets baserunner R1 Juan Lagares arrived at second base. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Mets Manager Terry Collins, Hoye's ruling that Tejada caught the ball and tagged second base ahead of Lagares' touch arrival was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Reds were leading, 3-2. The Mets ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
