MLB Replay Reviews 332-333: Campos, Meals (01, 05)

Instant Replay Review upheld 1B Umpire Angel Campos' out call in the top of the 6th and confirmed 2B Umpire Jerry Meals' live ball (no HR) call in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Orioles-Pirates game. In the top, with two out and one on, Orioles batter Adam Jones hit a 1-0 fastball from Pirates pitcher Justin Wilson on the ground to shortstop Jordy Mercer, who threw to first baseman Ike Davis as Jones arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Orioles Manager Buck Showalter, Campos' ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Pirates were leading, 8-6.

In the bottom frame, with two out and none on, Pirates batter Andrew McCutchen hit a 0-1 changeup from Orioles pitcher Brian Matusz on a fly ball to deep left field. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and initiation by Crew Chief Jerry Meals, Meals' ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Pirates were leading, 8-6. The Pirates ultimately won the contest, 9-8.
