MLB Replay Reviews 451-452: Tony Randazzo (01, 02)

Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Tony Randazzo's safe call in the top of the 9th and out (catch) call in the top of the 10th innings of the Marlins-Cubs game. In the 9th, with one out and three on, Marlins batter Justin Bour hit a 3-2 fastball from Cubs pitcher Hector Rondon on the ground to first baseman Anthony Rizzo who threw to Rondon as Bour arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Cubs Manager Rick Renteria, Randazzo's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Cubs were leading, 3-1.

In the 10th, with two out and none on, Marlins batter Casey McGehee hit a 3-2 fastball from Cubs pitcher Brian Schlitter on a line drive to right fielder Nate Scheirholtz. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Marlins Manager Mike Redmond, Randazzo's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 3-3. The Cubs ultimately won the contest, 5-3, in 13 innings.
