MLB Instant Replay Review 655: Dana DeMuth (07)

Instant Replay Review overturned 3B Umpire Dana DeMuth's safe call in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Mariners-Cubs game. With none out and one on, White Sox batter Alejandro De Aza hit a ground ball to Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano, who threw to third base, capturing White Sox baserunner R2 Moises Sierra in a rundown, sliding into third base as third baseman Kyle Seager attempted to tag Sierra. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by White Sox Manager Robin Ventura, DeMuth's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the White Sox were leading, 1-0. the Mariners ultimately won the contest, 3-2, in 14 innings.
