MLB Ejection 194 - Dan Bellino (2; James McCann)

HP Umpire Dan Bellino ejected White Sox PH James McCann (ball two call; QOCY) in the top of the 9th inning of the #Royals-#WhiteSox game. With two out and two on in the 8th (R1, R2), McCann took a 0-0 slider from Royals pitcher Tim Hill for a called first strike before striking out two pitches later. In the 9th, Royals leadoff batter Brett Phillips took a 1-2 changeup from White Sox pitcher Hector Santiago for a called second ball. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and above the knee (px -0.99, pz 1.83 [sz_bot 1.65]), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Royals were leading, 8-6. The Royals ultimately won the contest, 8-6.
