MLB Ejection 153 - Tony Randazzo (1; Bob Melvin)

HP Umpire Tony Randazzo ejected Athletics manager Bob Melvin (Replay Review call that affirmed 3B Umpire Will Little's out call; QOCN) in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the #Yankees-#Athletics game. With one out and one on (R3), A's batter Yan Gomes hit a 0-2 fastball from Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes on a line drive to second baseman DJ LeMahieu, who caught the batted ball in the air for an out and threw to third baseman Rougned Odor as A's baserunner R3 Starling Marte slid back into third to retouch the base, ruled an out by 3B Umpire Little and affirmed upon Replay Review as the result of a manager's challenge by Melvin. Replays indicate Odor failed to tag third base prior to Marte's retouch, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the A's were leading, 2-0. The A's ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
