MLB Ejection 039 - Bill Welke (1; Marcus Thames)

HP Umpire Bill Welke ejected Marlins hitting coach Marcus Thames (check swing) in the bottom of the 6th inning of the #Brewers-#Marlins game. With none out and one on (R1), Marlins batter Jesus Sanchez attempted to check his swing on a 1-1 curveball from Brewers pitcher Trevor Gott during R1 Avisail Garcia's stolen base attempt, ruled a swinging second strike. Play was reviewed and adjudicated unanimously (0-8) by the UEFL Appeals Board, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Marlins were leading, 4-1. The Marlins ultimately won the contest, 9-3.
