With two out and one on, Yankees batter Caballero attempted to check his swing on a 0-0 curveball from Astros pitcher Framber Valdez, ruled a swinging strike by HP Umpire De Jesus, as the pitched ball touched Caballero's foot, resulting in a dead ball strike. At the time of the ejection, the Yankees were leading, 2-0. The Yankees ultimately won the contest, 7-1.
