HP Umpire Vic Carapazza ejected Rangers DH Alex Rios for arguing a strike two call in the top of the 4th and Rangers LF Michael Choice for arguing a strike three call in the top of the 10th inning of the Rangers-Angels game. In the 4th, with one out and one on, Rangers batter Alex Rios took a 0-1 fastball from Angels pitcher Jered Weaver for a called second strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and belt high (px .603, pz 3.365 / sz_top 3.720), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Rangers were leading, 1-0.

In the 10th, with one out and none on, Rangers batter Michael Choice took a 3-2 changeup from Angels pitcher Mike Morin for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and below the hollow of the knees (px -.187, pz 1.171 / sz_bot 1.330), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 2-2. The Angels ultimately won the contest, 3-2, in 10 innings.

HP Umpire Quinn Wolcott ejected Athletics Manager Bob Melvin for arguing a previously argued foul ball call (Unsportsmanlike-NEC; DiMuro Rule) in the top of the 8th inning of the Red Sox-Athletics game. With two out and two on, Red Sox batter Mike Napoli attempted to strike a 2-2 slider from A's pitcher Luke Gregerson for a called foul ball. Replays indicate the pitched ball entered the catcher's glove and did not contact the ground, the call is irrecusable pursuant to the DiMuro Rule concerning previously argued calls. At the time of the ejection, the contest was tied, 1-1. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 2-1, in 10 innings.
