MLB Ejection 202 - Clint Vondrak (2; Elvis Andrus)

HP Umpire Clint Vondrak ejected White Sox SS Elvis Andrus (strike one call to Luis Robert; QOCY) in the top of the 6th inning of the #WhiteSox-#Rockies game. With none out and none on, Robert took a 0-0 cutter from Rockies pitcher Chris Flexen for a called first strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and at the hollow of the knee (px 0.59, pz 1.57 [sz_bot 1.77 / RAD 1.75 / MOE 1.57]), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Rockies were leading, 5-2. The White Sox ultimately won the contest, 10-5.

MLB Ejection & Replay Review: Hoberg, DiMuro (1, 06)

HP Umpire Pat Hoberg ejected Rangers SS Elvis Andrus for arguing a strike two call in the top of the 6th and Instant Replay Review confirmed 2B Umpire Mike DiMuro's safe call in the top of the 7th inning of the Rangers-Twins game. In the 6th, with one out and none on, Andrus took a 3-1 fastball from Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson for a called second strike, before grounding out on the next pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the heart of home plate and below the hollow of the knee (px -.055, pz 1.385 / sz_bot 1.62), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the contest was tied, 0-0.

In the 7th, with one out and one on, Rangers baserunner R1 Leonys Martin attempted to steal second base off Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire, DiMuro's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 0-0. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 1-0.

MLB Ejection 002: Alan Porter (1; Elvis Andrus)

HP Umpire Alan Porter ejected Rangers SS Elvis Andrus for arguing a strike three call in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the Astros-Rangers game. With two out and none on, Andrus took a 1-2 fastball from Astros pitcher Brett Oberholtzer for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located knee high and over the inner half of home plate (px -.603, pz 1.639 / sz_bot 1.460) and that all other pitches during the at-bat were properly officiated (the only other called strike was located at -.273, 1.629), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the contest was tied, 0-0. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 1-0.

With one out and one on, Andrus took a 3-2 fastball from Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located knee high and off the inner edge
