No-Hitter - Quinn Wolcott (Framber Valdez)

HP Umpire Quinn Wolcott called #Astros pitcher Framber Valdez's no-hitter vs the #Guardians in Houston, joined by 1B Umpire Junior Valentine, 2B Umpire Paul Clemons, and 3B Umpire and Crew Chief Adrian Johnson.

Wolcott officiated Valdez's no-hitter with a net accuracy of 97.4%.

This is Quinn Wolcott's first career MLB no-hitter.

This is the second solo no-hitter of 2023, 1st since July 5 (Edwin Moscoso; Domingo Germán's perfect game).

HP Umpire Edwin Moscoso called #Yankees pitcher Domingo Germán's no-hitter (a perfect game) vs the #Athletics in Oakland, joined by 1B Umpire Nate Tomlinson, 2B Umpire Jordan Baker, and 3B Umpire and Crew Chief Chris Guccione.

Moscoso officiated Germán's perfect game with a net accuracy of 95.8%.

This is Edwin Moscoso's first career MLB no-hitter.

HP Umpire Tripp Gibson called the Houston #Astros' combined no-hitter vs the #Phillies in Philadelphia in Game 4 of the 2022 #WorldSeries, joined by 1B Umpire Lance Barksdale, 2B Umpire Alan Porter, 3B Umpire James Hoye, LF Umpire Pat Hoberg, and RF Umpire and Crew Chief Dan Iassogna.

Gibson officiated Cristian Javier, Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero, and Ryan Pressly's combined no-hitter with a net accuracy of 96.0%.

This is Tripp Gibson's first career MLB no-hitter and the first postseason no-hitter since October 6, 2010, when HP Umpire John Hirschbeck called Roy Halladay's no-hitter.

This is the first Major League no-hitter since June 25, 2022 (Alex Tosi; Houston Combined).

This is Alex Tosi's first career MLB no-hitter.

HP Umpire Ryan Blakney called Angels pitcher Reid Detmers no-hitter vs the Rays in Anaheim of Los Angeles, joined by 1B Umpire and Crew Chief Marvin Hudson, 2B Umpire Adrian Johnson, and 3B Umpire John Tumpane.

Blakney officiated Detmer's no-hitter with a net accuracy of 98.3%, two pitches shy of perfection. Of the two, both favored the visiting Rays.

This is Ryan Blakney's first career MLB no-hitter.

2022 No-Hitter 1, Ryan Wills (1; NYM Combined)

HP Umpire Ryan Wills called Mets pitchers' combined no-hitter vs Philadelphia in New York, joined by 1B Umpire Jansen Visconti, 2B Umpire & Crew Chief Jerry Meals, and 3B Umpire Vic Carapazza.

As it turns out, Wills was closer to perfection than Mets pitchers Tylor Megill, Drew Smith, Joely Rodriguez, Seth Lugo, and Edwin Diaz, missing just one pitch in posting a 99.4% (153/154) UEFL f/x, which for this game matched the Zone Evaluation Equivalent score (153/154 pitches).

A day after Angel Hernandez's no-hitter in Seattle, HP Umpire Ryan Additon called New York Yankees pitcher Cory Kluber's no-no against the Rangers in Texas Wednesday night, joined by 1B Umpire and Crew Chief Bill Miller, 2B Umpire Doug Eddings, and 3B Umpire Brian Knight.

In accordance with UEFL tradition, the following are umpire Additon's three plate scores, including a perfect 100% (123/123) performance under ML Private/Zone Evaluation Equivalent conditions, 97.6% (120/123) UEFL f/x score, and 91.1% (112/123) value for ML Public / the broadcast-facing zero error system.

In accordance with UEFL tradition, the following are umpire Hernandez's three plate scores, including a 97.5% (116/119) performance under ML Private/Zone Evaluation Equivalent conditions, 93.3% (111/119) UEFL f/x score, and 86.6% (103/119) value for ML Public / the broadcast-facing zero error system.

This is the second time Cleveland has been no-hit this season (2021 No-Hitter 2, Doug Eddings (1; Carlos Rodón)).

HP Umpire Vic Carapazza called San Diego Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove's no-hitter, the first in franchise history, against the Rangers in Texas Friday evening, joined by Crew Chief Jerry Meals, 1B Umpire Jansen Visconti, and 2B Umpire Brennan Miller.

Carapazza saw a total of 253 pitches in his first career no-hitter, of which 139 were callable.

Pursuant to UEFL tradition, we present Carapazza's three plate scores, including the Zone Evaluation-equivalent 97.8%, UEFL f/x 95.7%, and Zero-Error 89.2%.

2020 No-Hitter 2, Chris Segal (1; Alec Mills)

HP Umpire Chris Segal called Chicago Cubs pitcher Alec Mills' no-hitter against the Brewers in Milwaukee Sunday afternoon, joined by Crew Chief Ron Kulpa (1B), alongside umpires Manny Gonzalez (2B) and Todd Tichenor (3B). MIL Manager Craig Counsell was ejected during the 5th inning for arguing an appeal play.

The Virginia-born Segal, officiating his first career no-hitter, saw 296 pitches, of which 163 were callable.

As we have documented in the past, three separate plate scores exist. Segal's Zone Evaluation-equivalent (two-inch margin of error) score was 97.6%, UEFL f/x (one-inch margin of error) score was 93.9%, and zero-error/broadcast score was 91.4%.

2020 No-Hitter 1, CB Bucknor (1; Lucas Giolito)

HP Umpire CB Bucknor called White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito's no-hitter against the Pirates in Chicago Tuesday night, Bucknor's first career no-hitter. The interim crew chief was joined by Erich Bacchus (1B), John Tumpane (2B), and Jose Navas (3B).

Bucknor presided over 153 total pitches, of which 108 were callable.

Specifically, under UEFL f/x rules (one-inch margin of error), Bucknor called all but four pitches correctly. Under Zone Evaluation rules (two-inch margin of error), the accuracy increased to 106/108 (98.1%), while under the confines of zero-error, Bucknor called a game of 101/108 at 93.5%.

2019 No-Hitter 4, Paul Emmel (1; Justin Verlander)

HP Umpire Paul Emmel called Astros pitcher Justin Verlander's no-hitter against the Blue Jays, the second consecutive no-no for Houston and third career no-hitter for Verlander.

Verlander's previous start ended with an ejection in the top of the 6th inning for arguing a ball three call with HP Umpire Pat Hoberg (QOCY).
Ejection Report: MLB Ejection 175 (8/27/19).

Emmel's crewmates for Sunday's game at Rogers Centre in Toronto included 1B Umpire Ryan Blakney, 2B Umpire Mike Estabrook, and 3B Umpire Bruce Dreckman.

This is Emmel's first career no-hitter and the fourth overall no-hit game of the 2019 season.

2019 No-Hitter 3, Jim Wolf (2; HOU [Combo])

HP Umpire Jim Wolf called Astros pitchers Aaron Sanchez, Will Harris, Joe Biagini, and Chris Devenski's combined no-hitter against the Mariners, the second consecutive no-no against Seattle.

Wolf's crewmates for Saturday's game at Minute Maid Park included 1B Umpire Nick Mahrley, 2B Umpire Cory Blaser, and 3B Umpire/Crew Chief Jeff Nelson.

This is Wolf's second career no-hitter and the third overall no-hit game of the 2019 season. Wolf previously officiated Dallas Braden's perfect game on May 9, 2010.

2019 No-Hitter 2, Paul Nauert (1; LAA [Tyler Skaggs x2])

HP Umpire Paul Nauert called Angels pitcher Taylor Cole and Félix Peña's combined no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners, the only no-no in MLB history completed by teammates wearing identical #45 jerseys in honor of teammate Tyler Skaggs, who passed away while on a recent road trip; Friday's game was the first game at Angel Stadium since Skaggs' death, and the Angels dedicated the evening to his memory with all players and coaches wearing Tyler Skaggs #45 jerseys.

Nauert, was joined for Friday's game at the Big A in Anaheim by 1B Umpire CB Bucknor, 2B Umpire Ramon De Jesus, and 3B Umpire DJ Reyburn.

This is Nauert's first career no-hitter and the second of the 2019 season.
