Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer edge of home plate and knee high (px .636, pz 1.710 [sz_bot 1.620]), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Mets were leading, 5-3. The Mets ultimately won the contest, 5-3.

With two out and one on, Red Sox batter Cespedes took a 1-2 curveball from Rays pitcher Grant Balfour for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh high (px .103, pz 2.053), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Rays were leading, 5-2. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 6-2.
