MLB Ejection 036 - Jordan Baker (1; Jeff Banister)

HP Umpire Jordan Baker ejected Diamondbacks bench coach Jeff Banister (pitch timer: disengagement count; QOCY) in the top of the 7th inning of the #Rockies-#Diamondbacks game. With one out and none on, Rockies batter Ezequiel Tovar singled off Diamondbacks pitcher Ryan Thompson, who promptly attempted a pickoff throw during ensuing Rockies batter Hunter Goodman's at-bat for Thompson's first disengagement. After receiving the ball from D-Backs first baseman Pavin Smith, Thompson faked a pickoff throw, resulting in a second disengagement pursuant to baseball's pitch timer/clock rules pertaining to disengagement limits. Banister was ejected for continuing to argue after Goodman's fly out and warning to stop, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Rockies were leading, 13-11. The Rockies ultimately won the contest, 14-12.

MLB Ejection 035 - John Libka (1; Don Kelly)

3B Umpire John Libka ejected Pirates manager Don Kelly (check swing ball four call to Bryce Harper; QOCY) in the bottom of the 7th inning of the #Pirates-#Phillies game. With one out and two on, Phillies batter Harper attempted to check his swing on a 3-2 slider from Pirates pitcher Ryan Borucki, ruled a ball by HP Umpire Sean Barber and affirmed as no swing on appeal by 3B Umpire Libka. At the time of the ejection, the Pirates were leading, 3-1. The Phillies ultimately won the contest, 8-4.

MLB Ejection 034 - Mark Ripperger (1; Torey Lovullo)

1B Umpire Mark Ripperger ejected Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo (obstruction call; QOCY) in the bottom of the 8th inning of the #Diamondbacks-#Giants game. With two out and one on, Giants batter Heliot Ramos hit a 1-1 slider from Diamondbacks pitcher Ryne Nelson on the ground to third baseman Eugenio Suárez, who threw to first baseman Pavin Smith as Ramos arrived at first base, ruled safe by 1B Umpire Ripperger. Smith then threw to shortstop Geraldo Perdomo, who tagged Giants baserunner R1 Christian Koss off the base, ruled out by 2B Umpire Edwin Jimenez. After crew consultation, umpires called obstruction on Diamondbacks second baseman Jordan Lawlar and ruled Koss safe, awarding him second base pursuant to Type 2 obstruction (no play being made on the runner at the time of OBS). Replays indicate Koss, after rounding second base, collided with Lawlar, who was not in possession of the ball and not in the act of fielding it, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Diamondbacks were leading, 8-6. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 8-7.

Replays indicate the pitch was located over the heart of home plate and below the hollow of the knee (px -0.13, pz 1.43 [sz_bot 1.65 / RAD 1.53 / MOE 1.45]), the call was incorrect.* At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 1-1.
