MLB Ejection 054 - Tripp Gibson (2; Kurt Suzuki)

3B Umpire Tripp Gibson ejected Angels manager Kurt Suzuki (catcher's interference call on Logan O'Hoppe by HP Umpire Dillon Wilson; QOCY) in the top of the 7th inning of the #Athletics-#Angels game. With one out and none on, A's batter Henry Bolte attempted to check his swing on a 3-2 sinker from Angels pitcher Brent Suter, called a strike by HP Umpire Wilson and then catcher's interference with the batter awarded first base. Replays indicate batter Bolte's bat made contact with Angels catcher O'Hoppe's mitt during the check swing, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the A's were leading, 7-3. The A's ultimately won the contest, 9-3.

MLB Ejections 036-38 - Lance Barrett (LAA-TB)

3B Umpire Lance Barrett ejected Angels pitcher/bench player Brent Suter and Rays pitchers Steven Wilson & Manuel Rodríguez (delay of game/refusal to leave field/pre-game national anthem standoff) in the top of the 1st inning of the #Angels-#Rays game. Following the pre-game performance of the national anthem, off-day pitchers and bench personnel Suter, Wilson, and Rodríguez remained on the playing field in locations occupied during the national anthem and remained in these positions after Barrett instructed them to leave and warned they would be ejected if they didn't leave the field, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the game hadn't begun (tied 0-0). The Angels ultimately won the contest, 14-3.

HP Umpire Adam Beck ejected Angels manager Kurt Suzuki (runner's lane interference call; QOCY) in the top of the 8th inning of the #Angels-#Reds game. With none out and none on, Angels batter Logan O'Hoppe struck out swinging on a 2-2 slurve from Reds pitcher Tony Santillan, which went uncaught by catcher Tyler Stephenson, who retrieved the baseball and threw to 1B Sal Stewart, ruled interference by HP Umpire Beck. Replays indicate batter-runner O'Hoppe failed to run within the three-foot runner's lane and in doing so interfered with 1B Stewart's ability to receive the throw, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Reds were leading, 5-3. The Reds ultimately won the contest, 7-3.
