1B Umpire Mark Wegner ejected Mariners pitcher Gabe Speier and manager Dan Wilson (throwing at Tigers batter Gleyber Torres) in the top of the 8th inning of the #Tigers-#Mariners game. With two out and none on, Tigers batter Torres took two fastballs from Speier, resulting in a hit-by-pitch on the second. Replays indicate both pitches were located significantly inside and the HBP struck Torres on the left thigh; warnings had not previously been issued, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejections, the Mariners were leading, 3-0. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 4-2.
