MLB Instant Replay Review S-22: Cory Blaser (S-1)

Instant replay affirmed 2B Umpire Cory Blaser's HR no-call in the top of the 9th inning of the Dodgers-Royals game. With none out and none on, Dodgers batter Alex Guerrero hit a 0-0 pitch from Royals pitcher Louis Coleman to deep center field and off the outfield wall where it was fielded by center fielder Jarrod Dyson. Upon instant replay review as the result of an inquiry by Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly and initiation by Crew Chief Blaser, Blaser's ruling that the ball hit the top of the wall and caromed back into the field of play was confirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the instant replay review, the Royals were leading, 5-4. The Dodgers ultimately won the contest, 7-5.
