MLB Ejection 022 - Mike Estabrook (2; Rocco Baldelli)

HP Umpire Mike Estabrook ejected Twins Manager Rocco Baldelli (dead ball strike three call; QOCY) in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Twins-Blue Jays game. With one out and none on, Twins batter CJ Cron swung at a 2-2 changeup from Blue Jays pitcher Daniel Hudson, ruled a dead ball strike. Replays indicate the pitch appeared to make contact with Cron's hand as he struck at the pitch, thus touching the ball as he has attempting to hit a third strike, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Blue Jays were leading, 5-3. The Blue Jays ultimately won the contest, 5-3.

This is Mike Estabrook (42)'s second ejection of 2019.
Mike Estabrook now has 8 points in the UEFL Standings (4 Prev + 2 MLB + 2 Correct Call = 8).
Crew Chief Paul Emmel now has 0 points in Crew Division (-1 Previous + 1 Correct Call = 0).
*Rule 5.09(a)(6) states, "A batter is out when—he attempts to hit a third strike and the ball touches him."
*Commentary Critique: The color commentary for this play requires us to address a significant rules inaccuracy stated by Twins color analyst Jack Morris and play-by-play personality Dick Bremer. Despite the broadcasters' claim, the hands are NOT part of the bat.
