MLB Ejection 098 - Tripp Gibson (2; Aaron Boone)

HP Umpire Tripp Gibson ejected Yankees manager Aaron Boone (strike one, two, and three calls; QOCN) in the top of the 7th inning of the #Yankees-#RedSox game. With two out and none on, Yankees batter Giancarlo Stanton took a 2-0 splitter from Red Sox pitcher Hirokazu Sawamura for a called first strike, a 2-1 splitter from Sawamura for a called second strike, and 2-2 splitter from Sawamura for a called third strike. Replays indicate the called first strike was located over the inner edge of home plate and beneath the hollow of the knee (px -0.65, pz 1.48 [sz_bot 1.82 / RAD 1.69 / MOE 1.61]), the called second strike was located off the inner edge of home plate and at the hollow of the knee (px -0.92, pz 1.73), and the called third strike was located off the inner edge of home plate and waist-high (px -0.91, pz 3.36), the call was incorrect.* At the time of the ejection, the Red Sox were leading, 7-6. The Red Sox ultimately won the contest, 11-6.
