MLB Instant Replay Review 108: Phil Cuzzi (02)

Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Phil Cuzzi's no HR (ball in play) call in the top of the 4th inning of the Angels-Tigers game. With two out and one on, Angels batter Howie Kendrick hit a 1-0 fastball from Tigers pitcher Luke Putkonen on a line drive to deep right-center field and off the top of the wall area. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a request by Angels Manager Mike Scioscia and initiation by Crew Chief Gerry Davis, Cuzzi's ruling that the ball hit the top of the outfield fence and remained in play was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Angels were leading, 7-1.

This is Phil Cuzzi (10)'s second Instant Replay Review of 2014.

Joe West just tossed Yankees pitcher Cesar Cabal. Apparently he was wild to the point of endangering the safety of the players. I don't think it was intentional.
