HP Umpire Angel Hernandez ejected Mets C Anthony Recker for arguing a strike three call in the bottom of the 11th inning of the Brewers-Mets game. With two out and three on, Recker took a 2-2 sinker from Brewers pitcher Brandon Kintzler for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and below the hollow of the knees (px 0.574, pz 1.394 / sz_bot 1.67), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the contest was tied, 1-1. The Brewers ultimately won the contest, 5-1, in 13 innings.
This is Angel Hernandez (55)'s second ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
