With none out and one on, Ross attempted to check his swing on a 3-2 fastball from Mariners pitcher Yoervis Medina. Replays indicate Ross attempted to strike the pitch, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Mariners were leading, 7-3. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 7-3.
