NBA Ejection: Garretson/Collins/Williams & TFFL Day 150

Referees Ron Garretson (crew chief), Derrick Collins (R) and James Williams (R2/umpire) ejected Pacers head coach Frank Vogel for a second unsporting technical foul during the 3rd quarter of the Cavaliers-Pacers game. With 2:05 remaining in the 3rd period, Pacers center Ian Mahinmi was called for a shooting foul on a Tyler Zeller successful jump shot; Vogel received two technical fouls in succession as he argued the shooting foul call and the technical foul call. At the time of the ejection, the Cavaliers were leading, 78-63. The Pacers ultimately won the contest, 99-94.

NBA Ejection: Garretson/Collins/Palmer & TFFL Day 111

Referees Ron Garretson (crew chief), Derrick Collins (R) and Violet Palmer (R2/umpire) ejected Pacers center Roy Hibbert for a second technical foul (fighting) in the 4th quarter of the Warriors-Pacers game. With 6:10 remaining in the 4th period, Hibbert became engaged in a fighting incident with Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and guard Klay Thompson, receiving double technical fouls for unsporting actions with both players, the second of which resulted in his automatic ejection. Also receiving technical fouls were Warriors forward David Lee and Pacers forward David West. At the time of the ejection, the Pacers were leading, 95-85. The Pacers ultimately won the contest, 108-97.

2012 TFFL: Technical Fouls 014, 015

Day 3 of the NBA season featured one game which produced two technical fouls.

014: 56 Mark Ayotte, 11 Derrick Collins, 43 Dan Crawford: Issued to Thunder's Ibaka (double with 015).
015: 56 Mark Ayotte, 11 Derrick Collins, 43 Dan Crawford: Issued to Spurs' Jackson (double with 014).
Issued with 6:05 remaining in the 2nd quarter, at the time of the Technicals, the contest was tied, 34-34. The Spurs ultimately won the contest, 86-84.
