In the 13th, with two out and one on, Martin took a 1-1 curveball from Indians pitcher Tommy Hunter for a called second strike before subsequently striking out swinging. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer edge of home plate and belt high (px .803, pz 3.037), the call was correct. At the time of the Encarnacion and Gibbons ejections, the game was tied, 0-0. At the time of Martin's ejection, the game was tied, 1-1. The Indians ultimately won the contest, 2-1, in 19 innings.

In the 2nd, with none out and two on, Rays batter Jose Molina bunted a 0-1
