HP Umpire Sean Barber ejected Cardinals CF Peter Bourjos & Manager Mike Matheny for arguing a strike two call in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Braves-Cardinals game. With two out and two on, Cardinals batter Peter Bourjos took a 0-1 fastball from Braves pitcher Ervin Santana for a called second strike before swinging and missing at a 1-2 pitch in the dirt for a strikeout. Replays indicate the 0-1 pitch was located over the inner edge of home plate and below the midpoint between the top of the pants and top of the shoulders (px -.795, pz 3.379 / sz_top 3.530), the call was correct. At the time of the ejections, the contest was tied, 2-2. The Cardinals ultimately won the contest, 5-2.
