Referees Scott Foster (crew chief), Matt Boland (R) and Tre Maddox (R2/umpire) ejected Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for a second technical foul during halftime of the Kings-Jazz game. With 2:23 remaining in the second period, Cousins received a technical foul for demonstrative complaints related to a missed layup attempt. At the conclusion of the quarter, Cousins was seen talking to Maddox before joining Foster and receiving a second technical foul and ejection. At the time of the ejection, the Jazz was leading, 44-43. The Jazz ultimately won the contest in one overtime, 98-91.

NBA Referees Marc Davis (crew chief), Tony Brown (R) and Tre Maddox (umpire) ejected Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich for a second technical foul during the 4th quarter of the Timberwolves-Spurs game. With 7:22 remaining in the 4th period, Popovich received two consecutive conduct technical fouls following a shooting foul called against Spurs forward-center Tiago Splitter. At the time of the ejection, the Spurs were leading, 90-77. The Spurs ultimately won the contest, 106-88.

NBA Ejection: Malloy, Maddox & Richardson; TFFL Day 70

Referees Ed Malloy (crew chief), Tre Maddox (R) and Leroy Richardson (umpire) ejected Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for a flagrant type two foul in the first overtime of the Mavericks-Kings game. With 0:41.9 seconds remaining in the overtime period, Cousins was called for a flagrant foul penalty one after turning the ball over to Mavericks forward Shawn Marion via a steal (immediately prior, Cousins was called for a goaltend). After instant replay review, officials charged Cousins with a flagrant foul penalty two for his illegal contact against Vince Carter's face, resulting in his ejection. At the time of the ejection, the Mavericks were leading, 111-109. The Mavericks ultimately won the contest, 117-112, in one overtime.
