With 6:51 remaining in the third period, Smith excessively and unnecessarily made contact with Warriors forward Harrison Barnes' head, resulting in a flagrant one call which was changed following instant replay review to a flagrant foul penalty two. At the time of the ejection, Warriors were leading, 64-40. The Warriors ultimately won the contest, 92-63.
