NBA Ejections: Callahan/Tiven/Zarba (2) & TFFL 133-134

Referees Mike Callahan (crew chief), Josh Tiven (R) and Zach Zarba (R2/umpire) ejected Bucks center Larry Sanders for a second conduct technical foul and Mike Dunleavy for a flagrant foul penalty two during the second half of the Bucks-Pacers game. With 7:54 remaining in the third quarter, Sanders received two unsporting technical fouls, resulting in his automatic ejection. With 8:15 remaining in the fourth quarter, Dunleavy initiated excessive and unecessary contact during a Gerald Green shot attempt, dangerously striking Green's head and neck area, resulting in the administration of a flagrant type two foul. At the time of the Sanders ejection, the Pacers were leading, 53-47. At the time of the Dunleavy ejection, the Pacers were leading, 83-63. The Pacers ultimately won the contest, 102-78.

These are Mike Callahan (24)'s fourth and fifth involvements with an ejection of the 2012-13 NBA season.

Ejections: Stafford/Zarba/Blair & Crawford/Poole/Twardoski

Referees Derrick Stafford (crew chief), Zach Zarba (R) and Curtis Blair (R2/umpire) ejected Bucks guard Brandon Jennings for a technical foul during the 4th quarter of the Bulls-Bucks game. With 2:54 remaining in the 4th period, Jennings was called for an offensive foul after extending his off-arm into an opposing player while in possession of the ball. After the call, Jennings threw the basketball at official Stafford and aggressively approached the crew chief, drawing a single technical foul and ejection. At the time of the ejection, the Bulls were leading, 94-84. The Bulls ultimately won the contest, 104-88.

With 8:26 remaining in the 2nd period, Barnes was whistled for a flagrant foul type two after he appeared to throw an elbow into the head/neck area of Timberwolves center Greg Stiemsma, actions ruled excessive and unnecessary and meriting of an automatic ejection. At the time of the ejection, the Timberwolves were leading, 32-25. The Clippers ultimately won the contest, 96-90.

NBA Ejections: Jones/Kirkland/Lane & Zarba/Corbin/Dalen

Referees David Jones (crew chief), Courtney Kirkland (R) and Karl Lane (R2/umpire) ejected Nets guard Deron Williams for arguing a no-call in the 4th quarter of the Nets-Rockets game. With 1:07 remaining in the 4th period, Williams was fouled by Rockets center Carlos Delfino, resulting in free throws. Replays indicate that while Williams stood at the free throw line during the ensuing dead ball, he and Jones became verbally engaged, ultimately resulting in Williams' ejection. In the minute prior to ejection, Williams had been charged with two turnovers. Teammate Reggie Evans was selected to shoot Williams' free throws following the ejection. At the time of the ejection, the Rockets were leading, 118-105. The Rockets ultimately won the contest, 119-106.

With 0:31.4 remaining in the 3rd period, Brown flagrantly fouled Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, a call confirmed as a flagrant foul type two after instant replay review during which the contact was ruled unnecessary and excessive. At the time of the ejection, the Suns were leading, 82-77. The Spurs ultimately won the contest, 108-99.

Umpire Olandis Poole ejected Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony & Referee John Goble ejected head coach Mike Woodson for second technical fouls; additionally, Crew Chief Zach Zarba ejected Bulls center Joakim Noah (2nd tech) and Knicks center Tyson Chandler (1st tech) for fighting in the 4th quarter of the Bulls-Knicks game. NBA Ejections: Zach Zarba (1, 2) & TFFL Day 40

Referee (Crew Chief) Zach Zarba ejected Raptors guard John Lucas III and Clippers forward Matt Barnes for fighting in the 4th period of the Raptors-Clippers game. With 1:39 remaining in the 4th quarter, Lucas III and Barnes tangled during a rebound attempt, continuing their contact well after the rebound was secured by a third player, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, and until separated by referee J.T. Orr and umpire Gary Zielinski. In crafting this ruling, Zarba consulted instant replay review (NBA Rule 13-I-a-4), confirming the ruling of a fight (12-A-6). At the time of the ejections, the Clippers were leading, 99-80. The Clippers ultimately won the contest, 102-83.
