MLB Ejection 169 - Doug Eddings (7; Matt Carpenter)

1B Umpire Doug Eddings ejected Cardinals bench player Matt Carpenter (check swing strike two call) in the bottom of the 4th inning of the #Reds-#Cardinals game. With one out and none on, Cardinals batter Nolan Arenado attempted to check his swing on a 2-1 sinker from Reds pitcher Sonny Gray that was thrown up-and-inside, ruled a ball by HP Umpire Edwin Moscoso and called a swinging strike on appeal by 1B Umpire Eddings. This play is under review by the UEFL Appeals Board, the call was *PENDING*. At the time of the ejection, the Cardinals were leading, 2-0. The Cardinals ultimately won the contest, 2-0.
