With none out and none on, Mariners batter Mastrobuoni took a 3-1 slider from Cubs pitcher Nate Pearson for a called fourth ball. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh-high (px -0.87, pz 2.82), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Mariners were leading, 14-6. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 14-6.
