MLB Ejection 164 - Chad Fairchild (2; Justin Turner)

HP Umpire Chad Fairchild ejected Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (strike three call; QOCN) in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Diamondbacks-Dodgers game. With none out and none on, Turner took a 2-2 fastball from Diamondbacks pitcher Taijuan Walker for a called third strike before referencing a video replay in contradiction of the call after the inning's conclusion.^ Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh-high (px 1.235, pz 2.265), the call was incorrect.* At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 1-1. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 3-1.

This is Chad Fairchild (4)'s second ejection of the 2017 MLB regular season.
Chad Fairchild now has 10 points in the UEFL Standings (12 Prev + 2 MLB - 4 Incorrect Call = 10).
Crew Chief Alfonso Marquez now has 8 points in Crew Division (8 Previous + 0 Incorrect Call = 8).
^From the MLBUM and Ejection Standards for Removal from the Game: "During an argument if a manager, coach or player makes reference to having observed a video replay that purportedly contradicts the call under dispute, such person should be warned immediately to stop or he will be subject to ejection from the game."
*UEFL Rule 6-2-b-1 (Kulpa Rule): |0| < STRIKE < |.748| < BORDERLINE < |.914| < BALL.
*This pitch was located 3.852 horizontal inches from being deemed a correct call.

This is the 164th ejection report of 2017.
This is the 72nd player ejection of 2017. Prior to ejection, Turner was 0-2 (SO) in the contest.
This is Los Angeles-NL's 8th ejection of 2017, 1st in the NL West (LAD 8; ARI, COL 5; SF 4; SD 3).
