NBA Ejection: Malloy/Ayotte/Poole & TFFL Day 116

Referees Ed Malloy (crew chief), Mark Ayotte (R) and Olandis Poole (R2/umpire) ejected Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jose Juan "J.J." Barea for a flagrant foul penalty two during the 4th quarter of the Heat-Timberwolves game. With 8:09 remaining in the fourth period, Barea appeared to fake a foul (flop) while defending Heat guard Ray Allen, followed by initiating contact against Allen that was interpreted as excessive and unnecessary, resulting in a flagrant foul type two call and automatic ejection from the game. Barea has already received a league-high two disciplinary actions for flopping, the most recent a $5,000 fine, issued on January 21, 2013. Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman received a technical foul via crew chief Malloy for prolongued and unsportsmanlike arguing. At the time of the ejection, the Heat were leading, 76-70. The Heat ultimately won the contest, 97-81.

This is Ed Malloy (14)'s second ejection of the 2012-13 NBA season.
This is Mark Ayotte (56)'s fourth involvement with an ejection of the 2012-13 NBA season.
This is Olandis Poole (50)'s seventh involvement with an ejection of the 2012-13 NBA season.

Good. I'm glad Barea got tossed after that flopping BS. He got mad his acting job didn't work and took it out on an opposing player. Not basketball.
