MLB Instant Replay Review S-43: Mike Muchlinski (S-1)

Instant replay affirmed 3B Umpire Mike Muchlinski's live ball call in the bottom of the 7th inning of the Rangers-Royals game. With two out and one on, Royals batter Billy Butler hit a 1-1 sinker from Rangers pitcher Pedro Figueroa to deep center field, where it hit the top of the wall and caromed back into play. Upon instant replay review as the result of an inquiry by Royals Manager Ned Yost and initiation by crew chief Todd Tichenor, Muchlinski's ruling that the fly ball hit the top of the outfield wall and returned to play without leaving the playing field was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the instant replay review, the Royals were leading, 6-0. The Royals ultimately won the contest, 6-0.

This is Mike Muchlinski (76)'s 1st instant replay challenge/review of Spring Training.

has the voting for the appeals board started?

Yes, thanks for asking! UEFL Draft 2014: Appeals Board Election. Due to the late start (we're still waiting for much material from MLB), Appeals Board voting will end prior to the start of the continental Regular Season. In the event of any appeals prior to that time, such appeals will be held in abeyance until the new Board is fully instated.

Nothing yet unfortunately, but we're keeping an eye out!

does that mean the CC draft period is being extended?

Yes, especially because MLB isn't sending a regular crew to Australia - buys us time. The crew craft will expire no earlier than the first pitch of Opening Night (Dodgers-Padres).
