MLB Ejection 171: Tim Timmons (4; Brett Gardner)

HP Umpire Tim Timmons ejected Yankees LF Brett Gardner for arguing a strike three call in the bottom of the 5th inning of the Red Sox-Yankees game. With two out and three on, Gardner took a 2-2 fastball from Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the inner edge of home plate and thigh high (px -1.236, pz 2.421), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Red Sox were leading, 7-3. The Red Sox ultimately won the contest, 9-4.

This is Tim Timmons (95)'s fourth ejection of the 2014 season.
