MLB Ejection 025 - Dan Iassogna (1; Framber Valdez)

3B Umpire Dan Iassogna ejected Tigers pitcher Framber Valdez (throwing at Trevor Story/intentional HBP) in the top of the 4th inning of the #RedSox-#Tigers game. With none out and none on, Red Sox batters Willson Contreras and Wilyer Abreu hit home runs to start the inning. Ensuing batter Story then took a 0-0 fastball from Valdez for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and struck Story on the upper back; warnings had not previously been issued, the call was irrecusable.* At the time of the ejection, the Red Sox were leading, 10-2. The Red Sox ultimately won the contest, 10-3.

This is Dan Iassogna (58)'s 1st ejection of 2026.
*Official Baseball Rule 6.02(c)(9): "Intentionally Pitch at Batter.
