MLB Ejection 008: Sam Holbrook (1; Joe Maddon)

HP Umpire Sam Holbrook ejected Cubs Manager Joe Maddon for arguing a ball one call in the top of the 7th inning of the Padres-Cubs game. With two out and two on, Padres batter Will Myers took a 0-2 fastball from Cubs pitcher Brian Schlitter for a called first ball. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and near the hollow of the knee (px 0.235, pz 1.645 [sz_bot 1.600 / MOE 1.683]), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Padres were leading, 5-4. The Padres ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
