MLB Ejections 174-175: Hamari, Kulpa (3, 3; Beltre, Banister)

HP Umpire Adam Hamari ejected Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre for arguing a strike two call and 1B Umpire Ron Kulpa ejected Rangers Manager Jeff Banister for arguing Beltre's ejection in the top of the 5th inning of the Rangers-Tigers game. With one out and one on, Rangers batter Ryan Strausborger took a 0-1 fastball from Tigers pitcher Matt Boyd for a called second strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the heart of home plate and knee high (px -.036, pz 1.535 [sz_bot 1.470]), the call was correct. After a conversation with Hamari and Kulpa at home plate, Banister was ejected for continuing to argue from the dugout after Kulpa instructed Beltre to leave the playing area, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Tigers were leading, 2-1.

This is Adam Hamari (78)'s third ejection of 2015.
