MLB Ejection 072: Todd Tichenor (1; Rick Renteria)

HP Umpire Todd Tichenor ejected Chicago Cubs Manager Rick Renteria for arguing a ball one call in the top of the 3rd inning of the Mets-Cardinals game. With one out and none on, Mets batter Curtis Granderson took a 0-0 slider from Cubs pitcher Edwin Jackson for a called first ball. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and below the hollow of the knee (px -.8, pz 1.444 / sz_bot 1.53), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Mets were leading, 3-2. The Cubs ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
