MLB Ejection 118 - John Tumpane (2; Derek Shelton)

3B Umpire John Tumpane ejected Twins manager Derek Shelton (Replay Review that confirmed foul ball/not HR call to Emmanuel Rodriguez by 1B Umpire Edwin Jimenez; QOCY) in the bottom of the 8th inning of the #Yankees-#Twins game. With none out and none on, Twins batter hit a 1-2 sweeper from Yankees pitcher Ryan Yarbrough on a fly ball to left field, originally ruled fair and a home run by 3B Umpire Tumpane and reversed to foul ball upon crew consultation, the call of which was confirmed following Replay Review as the result of a Crew Chief Review. Replays indicate the batted ball exited the playing field in foul territory (to the left of the foul pole), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Yankees were leading, 7-1. The Yankees ultimately won the contest, 8-1.
