MLB Ejections 65-68: Bellino, Kellogg (2-5; Red Sox)

HP Umpire Dan Bellino ejected Red Sox Manager John Farrell for arguing Warnings in the bottom of the 1st, 3B Umpire Jeff Kellogg ejected Bench Coach (acting manager) Torey Luvollo for arguing a non-ejection (Unsportsmanlike-NEC) in the bottom of the 4th and Bellino ejected P Brandon Workman and 3B Coach (acting manager) Brian Butterfield for Throwing At Rays batter Evan Longoria in the top of the 6th inning of the Rays-Red Sox game. In the 1st, with two out and one on, Red Sox batter David Ortiz took a 0-0 fastball from Rays pitcher David Price for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and waist high, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Rays were leading, 1-0.

In the 4th, with two out and one on, Red Sox batter Mike Carp took a 0-0 fastball from Rays pitcher Price for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and shoulder high, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Rays were leading, 1-0.

In the 6th, with one out and none on, Rays batter Evan Longoria took a 1-0 cutter from Red Sox pitcher Workman for a called second ball. Replays indicate the pitch was located significantly inside and above the height of the batter's head, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejections, the Rays were leading, 2-1. The Red Sox ultimately won the contest, 3-2, in 10 innings.
